Disaster Chaplain Training Registration:
New York City (Manhattan) • December 6-7, 2011
REGISTRATION & LOGISTICS INFORMATION
1)  TIME AND PLACE:
Tuesday and Wednesday, December 6 and 7, at NDIN headquarters, 4 West 43rd St, New York, NY 10036. (Check in at lobby desk.). Both sessions will run from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, with registration beginning at 8:30 AM. Continental breakfast and light lunch will be provided.
2)  REQUIREMENTS:

  • Attendance at both sessions is required to obtain a certificate.
  • Pre-requisite: Complete the free three-hour online course in the Incident Command System at http://emilms.fema.gov/IS100b/index.htmPlease bring your FEMA certificate with you to the session.  (The Disaster Chaplain course includes supplementary ICS modules as a reminder of ICS principles and functions, but does not replace IS-100.)

This curriculum is compliant with NIMS (National Incident Management Systems) and incorporates FEMA Incident Command System (IS 100) training. It also complies with the National VOAD* Points of Consensus for Disaster Spiritual Care.

This two-day training prepares faith leaders or institutional chaplains to volunteer as disaster chaplains in mass care settings or to serve as disaster chaplains within their house of worship, religious community or professional institution. Each registrant must be endorsed for this training and/or currently serve as a professional chaplain and/or credentialed religious leader.
